Week 2: The Little Shifts

Two doses in.

And while I’m not having a dramatic, overnight transformation (nor did I expect one), I am noticing the quiet shifts that feel…promising.

Let’s start with the physical stuff:

Less Bloat, More Balance

I’ve only lost about 1.5 pounds so far, which honestly, isn’t even the most exciting part.
What I feel is the difference:

  • My body looks and feels less bloated

  • My digestion is smoother

  • And there’s a subtle but very real sense that the inflammation is calming down

There’s no perfect way to describe the sensation of “less inflammation,” but if you’ve ever lived in a body that feels puffy, slow, or overburdened, you know it when it lifts, even slightly.

A Quick Note on Nausea

I did feel a little nauseated after my second dose. Nothing dramatic, just about an hour of feeling “off.” But once I had something to eat and hydrated, it passed quickly. Michelle and Extraordinary Wellness had prepped me for that possibility, and I’m grateful I listened to her suggestion to start slow.

Eating Less, Choosing Better

I haven’t made any major changes to my diet, but my choices are more intentional. It’s like just deciding to do this reset flipped a switch in me.

I’m not eating perfectly (I don’t believe in perfect), but I’m:

  • Eating less without feeling deprived

  • Noticing hunger cues more clearly

  • Choosing foods that feel nourishing instead of numbing

And when I do eat something indulgent, it’s a conscious choice, not a reaction to stress, exhaustion, or emotion.

Movement on My Mind

I’ll be honest: I haven’t added much activity in yet. Work has been a lot. Life has been full. But once my schedule lightens, I plan to weave in more intentional walking and some gentle interval training. Not punishment. Not penance. Just movement to support where I want to go.

An Unexpected Conversation

This week, while getting a facial, I opened up to my esthetician about my GLP-1 journey and she shared that she’s on the same path.

She’s been microdosing since the fall and has lost over 45 lbs. But more importantly, she told me she started because of severe arthritis that began after her first COVID infection. It made climbing stairs unbearable. Now, months into her journey, she says she feels regulated, balanced, and healthy again.

I was so inspired. Not just by her transformation, but by the reminder that these journeys are about healing, not just weight. Her story gave me a glimpse of what’s possible, not because our paths are the same, but because our bodies are capable of so much when we support them properly.

So that’s where I’m at. No big reveal. No viral “before and after.”

Just one dose at a time. One better choice at a time.
And the quiet belief that things are starting to shift in the right direction.

See you next week,
